HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT DRY DOCK UNIT
SIZE
Boat Measurement
The most important step in your purchase is to know
the EXACT size of your boat. We cannot determine the
size you require for you.
Important
Don’t forget to allow for added radar or any other
equipment on your boat that will impact the
measuring when you are determining the size of the
dry dock unit you wish to purchase.
Choosing the correct dry dock unit size
Once you have the measurements and weight of your
boat, add 3” to both side measurements and 6” to the
top measurement. These additional inches are for the
clearance needed for the forklift.
When making your final dry dock choice, it is
important to consider your future boating needs.
Choosing a larger space now, rather than not having
it available later is something to consider.
Overall length must include swim platform to the
forward most fixed appendage of the bow or bow
pulpit.
The proper way to measure overall height is from the
bottom of the keel to the highest fixed point.
